Hi, I'm Aryaman. I built Strop because I think one of the best things that can happen to your week is a game with people you didn't know a month ago.

Most of us grow up playing. Then college ends, work starts, friends move cities, and sport quietly turns into something we watch on a phone at night. Plenty of people want to play. They just don't have a team, don't know where the turfs are, or feel awkward turning up alone.

Why Strop

Strop is meant to fix that. Read explains sport in plain English, so you understand what everyone is talking about. Play helps you find a venue, join a game or start a group that meets every week. Run shows you the run clubs and races near you, and who else is going.

The goal is simple: get more people out of the house and playing, and make sure nobody has to do it alone. You can tick "I'm coming solo" on any game. That box exists because I know how it feels to walk onto a pitch where everyone already knows each other.

Why it matters

Sport is good for your body, but it does just as much for your head. An hour of football or an early run clears the week out of you. And loneliness is real, especially in a new city. A regular game is one of the easiest ways I know to make friends who actually show up.

How I'm building it

You come first. That means no spam, no selling your data, no hidden charges and no dark patterns to keep you scrolling. Venue details come from the venues themselves or their public pages, race details come from the organisers, and if something is wrong we fix it. If a feature doesn't make your week better, it doesn't belong here.

Where caten8 fits in

Strop is made by caten8, a sportswear brand I'm building around football and the culture of places. Over time I want caten8 to grow into a house of brands for everything sport in India: clothes you're proud to play in, an app that gets you playing, stories that make you love the game, and one day coaching centres that give young players a real path.

The big dream is to see India at a FIFA World Cup, and to have helped in some small way. That starts with more people playing every week, which starts here.

Say hello

I read everything people send. If you have an idea, spot a mistake, run a club or a venue, or just want a game, write to me at catenation1b@gmail.com.

See you on the pitch.
